Eveleigh Buck-Matthews

Director

Eveleigh Buck-Matthews is a Lecturer in Criminology at Coventry University. She is an interdisciplinary scholar and completed her doctorate in International Studies and Social Sciences, in 2018.

She spent her PhD at UK Music Festivals exploring young people’s constructions of space, community and spirituality. Presently working with academics and activists on a PAR project People and Dancefloors: Narratives of Drug Taking. Other interests include liminal space theory, neo-tribes, protest movements, creative methods, and mapping. At times specialising in being a geographer with positions on several Royal Geographical Society (RGS-IBG) research committee groups. A green activist, with a magpie affinity for neon colours, she is curious about the unconscious and emergent practices and beliefs that occur in special spaces, often associated with music
